Through our Author of the Month spotlight, we aim to highlight local New Jersey talent as well as women, queer, and BIPOC authors whose voices deserve the spotlight. It’s our way of championing diverse storytelling and connecting our community with the creators behind the books we love.

July Author Spotlight: Hannah Jordan

This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on romance author Hannah Jordan, whose books are packed with emotional depth, heartfelt characters, and swoon-worthy love stories that stay with you long after the last page.

A lifelong storyteller with a soft spot for small towns and big feelings, Hannah is the author of the Peace Falls series—a collection of interconnected romances full of heartache, healing, and hope. Whether she’s exploring second chances or tender first loves, her writing captures the messy, beautiful parts of falling (and staying) in love.

Meet Hannah Jordan

Hannah grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia but wound up in South Jersey after falling in love with her complete opposite. She’s got all the degrees of a “serious” fiction writer but only smiles when she’s writing romance.

She lives with her husband and two daughters in a picturesque town outside of Philadelphia where she enjoys reading in all genres, especially the spicy ones, and confusing people with her half-Southern-half-Northern accent.

  • Author you'd love to meet

    I'd love to have tea with Jane Austen. If we're talking about someone current, I'd love to meet Pippa Grant. Her books are hilarious and several of her series are set in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

  • Favorite character you've written?

    Poppy Stevens. She's been my favorite since the first chapter of the first book. She's incredibly complex, yet her definition of love is straight forward. Once she cares about someone, she's all in

  • Fun Fact about your writing process

    Unlike many writers, I don't see my characters or scenes while I'm writing. Instead, I hear the characters telling me the story. I typically have to go back and add in imagery and setting details because I don't "see them" clearly in the first draft.
